Just because you are working at home, don't use it as an excuse to be a slob. Every trade has an
acceptable mode of dress that should be adhered to. A home business is the perfect target for a 24-
hour a day onslaught by customers. They will call on the telephone and ring the doorbell seven
days a week from dawn to dark--and that includes holidays. No one can see what you look like on
the other end of the phone, but if you are going to answer the door, look like a business person. If
your customer is going to have confidence in your products or services, he or she must first have
confidence in you. You are your best advertisement.
